Student¡¯s healing experience to overcome the test anxiety by meditation counseling: A narrative inquiry research

Abstract

|
The present research aimed to investigate the effects of meditation counseling on the anxieties of students through narrative analysis. The study has its implications in being the first study to explore anxiety induced by taking tests in the fields of meditation counseling or experiments utilizing narrative analysis. First, the study observed the test-taking experience of ¡®'jaseojeon'¡¯ in the perspectives of the ¡®psychological¡¯, ¡®home environmental¡¯, and ¡®social¡¯. Second, the test-taking anxiety of ¡®jaseojeon¡¯ showed procedural change according to three different perspectives. Therapeutic factors such as ¡®Empathy and Confrontation¡¯, ¡®Respiration Meditation and Image-based Mindfulness Meditation¡¯, and ¡®the Power of Storytelling¡¯ are explained.
